mkticks is an emerging maker, artist and registered architect working in Boorloo/Perth.

not committed to any one medium, mkticks can be found drawing, collaging, scratching, sculpting, bejewelling, sewing, casting, painting or otherwise. they enjoy experimentation and play for the joy of the process rather than for outcome-driven purposes.

their practise is highly intuitive and mkticks typically works between multiple projects and mediums at the same time. they believe that this is crucial to their process, as the space from one project allows for moments of perspective and reflection necessary to an intentional and thoughtful moment in another.

they are most commonly inspired by nature, landscape, animals, colour, texture and themes surrounding dreams, symbolism, emotion and abstraction. trying to convey the essence of a feeling is a constant interest of the artist.

mkticks has exhibited in spaces such as Cool Change Contemporary (Boorloo/Perth WA), Pig Melon Gallery (Boorloo/Perth WA), Gallery 251 (Ballardong/York WA) and Smart Casual gallery (Walyalup/Fremantle WA) and hopes to expand and show across borders in the future.

please do get in touch if you would like to discuss future work or collaborations.
